Disappointed in the ebook. It has all the same information as the blog site (which I knew before purchasing) but I enjoyed all the blog photos and wanted to get all the pics as well as text in a portable format and without as much ads. I enjoy travel photography and like to view photos of the locations nearly as much as the written words to help gain a feel of the area. Unfortunately the ebook has a significantly reduced selection of the photos, at most 2 -3 per section compared to as many as 44 in a section on the blog. The ebook does link to the photos but just takes you back to the blog site which requires an internet connection. The sections are informative but a bit brief and, without the addition of the majority of photos, makes it hard to recommend over the blog site. Seeing as I need to end up at the blog site to see the photos and the same info is in the book as on the blog, there really isn't much of a reason to own the book.Product details

Enjoyable, quick read with many interesting ideas for sightseeing in Tokyo. I highlighted quite a lot of information and plan to use it for my upcoming trip to Tokyo. The authors also include recommendations for other interesting content such the documentary The Great Happiness Space, which is a fascinating glimpse into the dysfunctional world of Japanese male host clubs.
I will definitely check out the rest of the 91 Days series using the Owners' Lending Library. Thanks for making them available!
I love Michael and Jurgen!! Their travel books are funny, interesting and make you desperately want to visit these places. The Tokyo book is full of info that will be most welcome in a as wild and confusing as Tokyo can be.
This book was much better than I expected. It gives a very personal, idiosyncratic view of what to do in Tokyo. Some of the places the authors discuss are famous, but others are obscure and unexpected. The authors are very honest. They don't make things sound better than they really are - if they didn't like something, they tell you. If you're just going to Tokyo for a few days you can use one of the major guidebooks. But if you plan to stay in the city for a longer time and explore the hidden nooks and crannies, this book provides excellent guidance.
