no spoilers here! :)hard-core horror! realistic teen angst, secluded lovers' lane, jolting, fast-paced incredibly horrifying events through to a powerful conclusion - IN REALTIME, making it possible to read it, live it & FEEL it all from a strong, quickly developed character's POV. somehow reminded me of Poe, but i'm not sure why...perhaps WOC can help me out there! ;)
this is an intentionally quick read, with more than enough details and descriptions to immediately suck the reader into the action!
i highly recommend reading THIS book, and following an author surely destined to be a standout in his chosen genre!

I always enjoy short stories in the horror genre, and this one satisfied - and exceeded - all my expectations. While the setting is not unusual (a young couple driving to an isolated spot to make out, when something terrifying and alien attacks) the style, descriptions and details of the horror are original and of a very high quality. The strong descriptions, tight narration and realistic dialogue make for compelling reading, and it is obvious that W.O. Cassity is a talented writer with much to offer. I am looking forward to reading more work by this author, in any genre, because it is certain to be well-written and skillfully crafted.
Excellent read! Fast paced, and terrifying.
This was a crazy scary short story. From the first sentence to the last, it moved like a freight train, and I had no idea where it was going. If you're looking for a quick read to scare the daylights out of you, this will do the trick.
This story is really well done. Not only was I creeped out (which is always a good thing), I wanted to know what happens next. The descriptions used in this story made me feel like I could be Wayne reacting to the situation just the same. The ending was great and I'd love to see this continued. If that's what the author plans.

Being a bit tired of reading things that seem to be written by bored authors, I looked forward to this, and wasn't disappointed at all with the imagery and intensity. Made for great bedtime reading (but then, I'm still looking for the stuff that can creep me out and make me turn on lights), and I look forward to more of W.O. Cassity's work.
Wayne soon learns all new meaning to the phrase "looking for love in all the wrong places." Cassity creates the perfect blend between Lovecraftian and Carpenteresque terror sure to please fans of all genres. Dive in and get ready to run do your life! The story highlights what makes tales in this format so deliciously delightful. I highly recommend this to everyone.
